The 40 Years all time collection

This post is my 40 years-all-time-collection of rare spawns of music/videos which are usually not available within the moon wide web... so DO NOT betray these secret diamonds to Sony Music, pleeeeeze. And many thanks to the spy's in advance...

.... because, I AM visible.

So let's start with "Underworld" and a tremendous mix of Cowgirl / Rez taken from their greatest 1994 album "Dubnobasswithmyheadman" embedded in excerpts from Godfrey Reggio's movie "Koyaanisqatsi" released in 1982.

Kraftwerk's Kling Klang from their 2nd album (1972) transposed to a movie trip from Viatge Sitges-Barcelona (Spain) 2009.... everlasting timeless and lost in space.

After this spanish-german journey let's have a jump into the 90s with a Massive Attack on your male (or even female) spectacle focus which is a delicious key-scene-review of Robert Rodriguez' " From Dusk till Dawn"  (1996) gathered together in a cage by "Dissolved Girl" taken from "Mezzanine" grooving with Samala Haylek!!!

Flight simulation is an artificial re-creation of aircraft flight and various aspects of the flight environment.
Tangerine Dream is a German Electronic Music group founded in 1967.
Coldwater Canyon  is a track taken from their album "Encore" released in 1977. It is (mostly) assembled from various recordings from the band's 1977 U.S. tour.

Small side step to minimize all ur expectations and misunderstandings of over-floating casting shows, omg. This is a real voice, goosis.... unfortunately Cristina Ballestero is already detected, but look and hear her funny interpretation of Timberlake's "Cry me a River" and give YOUR vote to the glancing trio.

Stardust memories as we travel through the Universe, also known as "Planet Caravan" which you should know from Black Sabbath 2nd album "Paranoid"  (1970).
Take a little tea break, put your earphones on and leave your room.

Back in your severe and gemutlichen room, you may have a deep, hair-raising question:
Where the hell am I coming from and what is behind that curtain?
Aloha.....  take this wise and elemental answer from a  Fatboy and relax on a fast 350 Billion Years trip. To cut a long story short--> "I am *1, so why try harder!" Right here , Right Now.

Now it should be crystal clear, where you're coming from... still open is the question of the curtain.
This might be a reliable answer onto this everlasting question. Perhaps the answer is given by this amateur smoking-room-clip recorded by an inspired guy from the Ukraine(?) changed over an early song by Laurie Anderson  given as a gift from her first album "Big science" in 1982.

You were born, and so you're free. So happy Bithday!

At the end of  the "this-day" it's time to get a little bit rusty with hammond organ , guitars and a female dusty voice. Perfectemento...... Frumpy's Birth of a Gipsy  (1971) seems to be the choice of the moment.
Watch the microphone tapes, that reminds me of my roots.

Roots was the key-word. "Love" is a key to present a last highlight of German Rockers.
From 2004 Colour Haze...stoner and stronger than ever.

Okidok, agreed! A little bit to heavy stuff for sensitive ears.
Let's return to more consumable stuff, although this collectible
item makes only sense if you know German
on the piano: "Der Plan" performing "You  I Want You" from their

If you did not get the curve, let's have an other try with easy-listening,
or better comprehensible calculations.... live from Austria  (1981)

This might be a good introduction to the transcendental sections of this anthology.
Some trance music has been likened to the trance-inducing music created by ancient shamanist during long periods of drumming. William Orbit might be a perfect, multi-talented but controversy
sample, but who cares. "Barbers Adagio For Strings" is a great vid. If you like classics and orbits, my recommendation is "Pieces in a Modern Style" (2000) plus "Vol 2" (2010).

More than 10 years before Street-View Sensorama allowed us a view on German backyards and front gardens. "Star Escalator" rocked the garage doors in 1998, Viva2  RiP.

This title from Arthur Russell requires a spoiler: You will love it forever and it will NOT let you loose for minimum one day.
"Get around to it" is post-human released on the album "Calling ouf of Context" in 2004.

On an early Sunday morning, strange things may happen.
Koyaanisqatsi is a word from the North American Indian tribe of the Hopi and can be translated as "life out of balance" or "a state of life that calls for another way of living"
This video presents the Intro, other parts are shown above, see also the Underworld cuts.

On an late Sunday night, strange things may happen, too.
These next 2 videos are only available for people older than 16.
The story and the music has a long story, even longer than my life. So enjoy it, or jump to the next step.

This is only for the "NexT Steppers" ....I love this song, but the video is a little bit of NaJa. MGMT walk through the desert and try to save an ugly monster from dying. I think there is no deeper sense in "Congratulation!"  because .... they failed ROFL. But it will definitely find its repetition on the coming-soon-Xmas-Blog!!!

Cold and rainy November nights requires a more summerwise view and kind of music, like deserts and this song by Fritz Kalkbrenner with a strong promise : Summer is definitely coming back.... Enjoy it.
(it comes with the double mix version: original Video & original Mix)

Back to Winter sites: "The Electrician" is a track from the 1978 album "Night Flights" by the Walker Brothers. This album is one of the most underrated records of all time.
On this last album the trio recorded as a group, although the structure of the album, effectively split into 3 sections in which each member writes and sings, has led to both critics and band members describing it as more akin to 3 miniature solo albums than a true group album.
"The Electrician" is described by Brain Eno as "Pop Music at his outer border", never reached again.....

More often than now and again: The Notwist. This tiny little song "Pick up the phone" presents one of my favorite video creation that tells an everyday love story in a more or less "self-reflecting" romance. It's the second single from the 2002 album Neon Golden.

A logical continuation of a paper plan might be "Sugar", but in both cases life's just like a (sugary) paper plane. If it rains on it after boarding you're severely f***ed.
Excerpts from Underworld's Jumbo released on "Beaucoup Fish" 1999:
My thumb's on a tetris keyring
Moving in brilliant timing
You pick up the phone
And I'm imagining
"... you know that situation, when certain feelings are dominating your mind, and you briefly allow yourself to envision the whole world through that lens, it's almost surreal, and you're there but only observing."  (comment by kaat Apr 2009)

Dum Dum "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" (1968)  might be your last exit to Swisttal right into heaven, stay cool and relax during this most famous drum solo in rock history, hammond organ supported
What made this particular drum solo unique was its surreal tribal sound. The drummer Don Bushy removed the bottom heads from his tom-toms to give them less of a resonant tone, and during the recording process, the drum tracks were subjected to a process known as flanging, producing a slow, swirling sound. It's then followed by Doug Ingle's ethereal polyphonic organ solo (which resembles variations on an traditional English Christmas choral "God rest Ye Merry, Gentlement") to the accompaniment of drums (beginning around 9:20 into the piece).
(excerpts from http://en.wikipedia.org)

This might be a perfect epilogue of this blog, a 40 years old German TV document (1971), which encourages me to keep on keeping on.... so see and hear you soon, tbc.

"Shall we liken Christmas to the web in a loom?  There are many weavers, who work into the pattern the experience of their lives. When one generation goes, another comes to take up the weft where it has been dropped. The pattern changes as the mind changes, yet never begins quite anew. At first, we are not sure that we discern the pattern, but at last we see that, unknown to the weavers themselves, something has taken shape before our eyes, and that they have made something very beautiful, something which compels our understanding."
